South Caucasian Railway significantly increased the level of efficiency of the freight cars and locomotives in January-April 2011. Due to CJSC “SCR” recent statistical data in the reporting period of 2012 the accelerated turnover of fright cars increased by 0.5 days or 13.5% compared to the level of the first four months of 2011. According to statistics on an average one car was on run during 3.7 days.
The Average performance of a car in January-April 2012 amounted to 3989 tons/km net/wagon, which is 11.8 % over the same period of 2011. The locomotive fleet performance indicators also improved. In particular, the average mileage of the locomotive was 348.6 loc/km, exceeding the indicators of January-April 2011 by 3.5%.
The Company achieved such results due to its policy on railway infrastructure and traction-rolling stock improvement on the basis of comprehensive measures to ensure traffic safety.
